Hi there!
My interest in photography began with a one-week summer class at a local college when I was in grade school. During my junior year of college, I realized that I loved taking pictures, being in the darkroom, and making prints. Since my college didn't offer photography as a major, I transferred to F.I.T. in NYC to pursue my degree. It was incredible.
After graduation, I worked as a photo editor and researcher at several picture libraries in NYC, the last of which was Corbis Outline, which specialized in celebrity portraits. I was the photo editor for many highly esteemed photographers including; Andrew Eccles, Sante D'Orazio, Kwaku Alston, Ruven Afanador, and Davis Factor. This was a dream job, and one that I would have probably gone back to, after my kids were in school, if we hadn't moved.
In 2010, my family moved to the suburbs of CT , in search of great schools and more living space. A few years later, my neighbor asked me to shoot her son's Bar Mitzvah. I loved it.
It's an incredible day that's all about family and tradition. And for that day, I get the best seat in the house to all the day's events. It is truly an honor. For events like Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, my goal is to capture all the emotion of the day. All the love. The love of grandparents, parents, and friends. The expressive looks. The hugs. The excitement. The laughter.
